Our
organization Prepared to draft our observation of the electoral process for
provincial elections in Iraq since the month of November 2007, which sent a
group of the Organization fellows to participate in the training of trainers
and held in Amman, in cooperation with the Friedrich Ebert Foundation of
Germany and the support of the United Nations, during the period from 1 /
12, up to 12/12/2007, which has been prepared and trained 40 coach in the
training of electoral observers, then our colleagues who trained in Jordan
to train observers, training workshops held in Baghdad and the
.provinces during the period from 20/3/2008 and up
to 5/4/2008
In addition our preparing to monitor provincial elections, the Organization
was ready for early control and the various media in Iraq and working on the
issue of provincial elections, where the organization
sent (10 colleagues) to participate
in the training of trainers and monitors media held in Amman from
31 / 3, up to 2/4/2008 and in cooperation with
the Friedrich Ebert Foundation as well.
After
completing the training course trainees with others colleagues in the
Organization fellows trained 500 observers through the establishment of 20
training workshop during the period from 19/4 till 24/4/2008 per workshop
and one in each province or in Baghdad has set up three training workshops.
Also our
organization participated in all our media seminars hosted by the
Independent Electoral Commission in Baghdad and the provinces also
contributed to the organization in the distribution of publications and
educational brochure on voter education, in order to educate families and
encourage them to review voter registration centers.
After
the closure of voter registration and long up to (45 days) by our observers
to report daily total of 12840 at the end of the process report.
And the other observers and the media control and the various media
(newspapers, satellite channels, local radio stations, news agencies and Web
sites) and which have focused on governorate council elections value in our
full report on the monitoring of the media and during the presentation of
the results Monitoring and graphics data for the most prominent media
organizations.
After the organization held a press conference in which it announced its
full control on the process of updating the voter register and monitor the
media, and attended the conference held in Baghdad, a large number of
interested media and satellite channels, among them (Al-Iraqiya, Al-Hurya,
Hura, Al-Baghdadya , Al-masar, Fayha, Al-Sumarya, Ashoor, Al-Rasheed), while
the press has attended each of the (Al-Sabah, Al-Zaman, Al-Muaten, Baghdad,
Al-Mashreq, Tareeq Al-Shaap, Al-Dawa) also

published articles on the press conference in all the above channels and
newspapers.
