Tammuz Organization for Social Development participate in the general member meeting of the Iraqi women network

 

Held at Saturday morning 17/11/2007 expanded meeting of the Network of Iraqi women attending by selection of women's personalities and representatives of Iraqi ministries and official departments and civil society organizations. The meeting focused on discussing the issue of Article 140 of Kirkuk and the disputed areas and the latest developments of the security situation in the hot areas and successes of the Iraqi forces to impose law and the role of civil society organizations in the consolidation of the concepts of social peace and democratic traditions and human rights. Also, Discussions of articles on women's rights and her freedom, the meeting addressed the relations with community organizations, governmental institutions and the executive authority. It was appear that our representative of Aras Abd Al-Moneim a clear role in the discussions of all the axes meeting. This meeting was attended by a group of women members of Parliament and women in the various state institutions, civil society organizations and those ladies Safiya Suhail, Mason Damlogi, Nermin Othman (Minister of the Environment), as well as Azhar Alsheearbaf, addition to  attended Minister of regional Mohammad Ahsan and representatives of the Ministries of Defense and Interior. It is noted that Tammuz Organization for Social Development is one of the most important organizations contribute to the establishment of the Iraqi women network; it had played a distinctive role in the activities and events the network during the past years.
