Its goal
is people's interests
Tammuz organization started its
activities which were of charity
character confined to bestowing
financial aids to indigents regarding to
Kurdistan's conditions and the siege was
imposed then. The beneficiary of these
aids is considered as a person who needs
help and inactive towards changing
reality. Afterwards, we found that it
was necessary to work on developing
individual capacities and abilities to
become an active part of his/her
society, in other words, shifting the
individual from negativity and waiting
tendency to active participation.
Eventually, society will regain feeling
of participation utility in union, civil
and political work.
For
this reason, Tammuz organization
re-formed its goals in a way that social
development of a democratic essence is a
main interest. In order to apply this
goal, in addition to other goals of
course, the organization focused on
building a program aiming at training
people on democracy, establishing civil
society institutions, building
capacities, enhancing abilities and
rehabilitating the organization stuff to
achieve this social task vitally.
According to a historical experience, it
is possible to say that Tammuz
organization's task nowadays is
different that is was when commencing
and the time after. The benevolent
function that characterized our
organization is changed to become of
social developing function, aiming at
training, rehabilitation and
development. It gained a wide range of
different types of relations. Basing on
this transformation context, certain
tasks of high importance come out. The
most prominent tasks are how this
organization can be transformed from its
traditional role to be an organization
of relations, communications, and
constraint campaigns; to demand adopting
people needs and to urge adopting their
interests through organized and concrete
action with definite and clear goals.
Surely, we do not start from nothing.
Despite the difficulties of the period
after former regime collapse and serious
complications in political process and
security conditions that associated it,
Tammuz Organization succeeded in
building wide range of relations and
connections that led to the necessity of
utilizing this organization through the
incoming period by means of the
following:

Active
support for developing mass
organizations work is possible by
maintaining relations with all parties
involved and strengthens these relations
through equivalent cooperation varied in
manners, means and targets in accordance
with the organization essential goal
which is social development of
democratic essence by serving people's
interests and adopting their needs to
deliver them to those who desperately
do.

To depend
on active members' work in fulfilling
projects in many places, maintaining a
good relation with them and strengthen
these relations, not to make then
occasional or seasonal. This will call
for the necessity of thinking to find
projects fulfilled in other governorates
and to avoid focusing them on certain
places. Such plan will help reducing
social disparity among governorates
which characterizes our condition
previously.

Strengthen
and maintaining relations with trainees
and those who were delegated for
training by our organization, also with
whoever utilize our projects.
Absolutely, hereafter, we are aiming at
perpetuating these relations made so
far, even if they are individual
relations, and at bind their skills in
the organizations works and activities.

To pay
sufficient attention to coordinate these
relations and associations, whether
individual or group, in a way that it
becomes effectively organized form these
relations. This will become necessary to
present all kinds of support,
consolidation, training, potential
skills development, building capacities
and offering possible facilitations to
the organizations in order to upgrade
their tasks that meet with our main
target.

To
strengthen our organization to people.
This will lead to expand zone of
relations objectively as much as its
potentials. This task oblige us to urge,
enhance and renew our ways continually
and to be away from generalizations in
forming our programs and their goals,
and to go for making these programs
concrete, attractive and handling
actual interests and real problems of
people in a method that help to mobilize
them for effective application of these
programs.

To observe
any project we are fulfilling and to
what extent this project harmonizes with
our strategically made plans.

To work on
coordinating with other organizations in
order to build peoples' capacities in
our country and rehabilitate them to
play an effective role in establishing
the new democratic Iraq in which
culture, human rights principles, state
of law, civil society institutions and
urbanized and civilizes values are
flourished.
·
To free
man's potentials, develop his abilities;
to include him to reach for problems
reasons and his effective participation
in finding solutions for them. Moreover,
we are seeking to ensure and enhance the
spirit of consolidated and voluntary
work based on influential planning and
programming.

To work
out, rehabilitate and train human
potentials working in fields of
developing urbanized and civilized
society.
·
Mutual
cooperation and coordination with
foreign organizations and efficient
participation in their activities that
towards building better world and
cleaner environment; mutual adopting of
universal values for opposing war,
violence and terrorism and of calling
for peace. Also, we attempt to share
them the seek for humanitarian
globalization that which aim is man and
absolute values as an alternative to the
savage and capitalistic globalization.
In this meaning, it will be a part of
global civil society movement that
expresses deep understanding and
solidarity to our national and
democratic affairs.

To take
part influentially in local and
international campaigns for making
required and necessary changes in
understanding, program, visions and
policies in various fields, including
activating woman's role and her
operative participation in the social,
work, economic and environmental scopes.

To be
cautious of surfacing his strategy and
make it shallow and avoiding reducing
our organization entity and not to
consider it as nongovernmental
organization taking care of only partial
cases, seeking only financing, training
and associating with the other similar
assemblies. Such matter will make us
outside the social movement centre,
eventually, away from the influential
zone in the society.

To stand
up against all types of racial
discrimination, chauvinism, nationalism
and religious fanaticism and sectarian
tendencies in the society. To spread
instead, the spirit of forgiveness,
equality, citizenship principles.

To work with
displaced persons and help them for
regaining of their rights.
